Cruising
The third and final day of our latest parkrun adventure saw us having a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before.heading to the chocolate museum. It would not have been my choice but with a small glasshouse, a collection of chocolate pots and a working production line, it was interesting enough to spend a few hours. The production room aroma made us feel like we were being immersed in the product which was obviously a great sales tactic.
Next we enjoyed a river cruise. Seeing a city from the water is always fun and although windy, we were blessed with the weather. At one end of the river we spied a classic car show and the other end hosted a bustling street market. We passed under several bridges and the cable cars before returning to the dock.
We wandered bit more, enjoying wurst cooked over wood and laughing at some of the things on sale at the market including quite a few grotesque heads, dental equipment and large boxes of smurfs.
Late afternoon we made our way to the airport for our flight which, on arrival at the airport, was delayed by several hours. We grabbed snacks and waited. I was surprised by the availability of smoking booths which I hadn't seen for years. It passed quickly enough and we arrived home before midnight.
