Still Blooming ......Marvellous!
SUNDAY
I took advantage of the dry morning and spent some time in the garden, cutting back more of the lavender and tackling the remaining but spreading cotoneaster. Some plants are still enjoying an early autumn growth spurt, with new buds and blooms on a few of the roses.
In the late afternoon, we headed to Denbigh and Abergele to pick up some violas for the pots around the house since I’ve cleared out most of the summer bedding plants. We also treated ourselves to a coffee and cake at the garden centre in Abergele.
By the time we left around 4pm, heavy rain was starting to fall, and by the time we arrived home, the washing that had been left outside tom dry was wringing wet.
On another note, down in Nottingham, congratulations to George who completed his first half marathon this morning.
