Preparations for fish pie

Potatoes are called aardappelen in Dutch , the term translates to ‘earth apples’ and of course they do grow below the surface in the soil. For Tiny Tuesday’s theme of ‘earth’ with thanks to freespiral for hosting in this new month.

I’m cooking for the family and today it’s fish pie. Baby Will is growing slowly but steadily.
Quite silly horrible bureaucracy is giving a lot of stress to the parents. In order to get baby Will registered as both a Japanese and a Dutch baby lots of documents need to be procured, translated and stamped and all this within two weeks. As usual the Dutch Embassy is rather hopeless, they don’t even seem to have people speaking Dutch to answer the phone!
