Puffball mushroom

As soon as the rain stopped I went to Ifton Meadows Nature Reserve for a walk.

The tracks were very muddy, slippery and difficult to walk in despite wearing wellies. 

There were a number of fungi around but they had all been nibbled except for these puffballs which looked newly emerged.  They are edible but these were very tiny so I left them for the wildlife.
