The Littledale infants

A wet start to the day, so I took the bus into York instead of going by bike. As the rain had eased off by the time my library shift ended, and as I had a bit of time to kill, I had another wander around St Olave's ancient churchyard. I have to make the most of it being open and accessible! There are lots of interesting gravestones in there, but today, I've chosen these three rather sad ones of the Littledale children. The oldest, George, died before his fourth birthday, and the others, Pudsey, Francis, and Sarah, didn't make their second. Heartbreaking.
