Life On An Ocean Wave?

SWMBO joined me on the delivery run today ..... I wasn't convinced she would manage.
I was glad she was with me because the sat-nav really wasn't playing the game and her phone was able to get us to roughly the right place for a couple of new (to me) drop offs.
What I would say is the 'Village' of Winchburgh is no more.......it is now a town with masses and masses of housing going up (very little else - just housing). Finding a given street is a lottery and house numbers are almost non existent (not helped by having front doors and numbers facing away from the roads).

I got a message asking if we would be able to have our pictures taken - along with other volunteers - for something The Larder is doing - between 2pm & 4pm. Okay, but it would need to be sharp as we had a funeral at 3pm (my brother-in-law's father).

After doing the deliveries I phoned St John's Hospital and asked to be put through to the Speech Therapy Dept. I was asked "At Which Hospital?" She nearly got an earful for being so damned stupid - If I wanted another hospital I would have phoned them!!!!!!
When she put me through it was - off course - an answer machine. So I left all SWMBO's details, my name and number and the reason for the call ... because they hadn't been in touch as they should have been.

There was then a message to say that the location for the photoshoot wasn't along the road - it was at the head office. That was okay, it was on the way to the crematorium.
We arrived a few minutes after 2pm and found out that the photographer hadn't even finished setting up .... and the boss hadn't arrived. We left ... after letting some of the others know why and they would pass it on.

On the way home there was a phone call from the Speech Therapist.
She will call in in a couple of days or so. So efficient!!!!

I am now fighting with the NHS's IT system to try and book my flu and covid injections. It would be nice if it would actually accept my details as being correct .....which it is showing them as being correct.
Another case of deliberate obstruction (probably to keep somebody in the IT Dept in a job they don't deserve.)
