Fennel Paradise

Happy October 1st! • No sign of the monarch cat today but I did find this swallowtail cat hanging out on one of the fennel plants :) • MrsP and I harvested five potato bags today. Our expectations were low as the plants never grew as tall as previous years, and the plants never flowered, something we’ve never seen before. So, we were pleased to find numerous medium sized potatoes in four bags, but the fifth one had potatoes no larger than a quarter. Disappointing overall but we’re pleased we got something! The four remaining bags will be checked out by the weekend • We’ve had the news on this afternoon watching coverage of Iran’s missile attack on Israel.
