Hospital trip

Had to go to Whiston Hospital for blood tests. Our hospitals put on some lovely floral displays.
Extra is of another box I bought today - I couldn't resist it. Despite the oak leaves on the lid, it's apparently made from mango wood

St Helens Star had an article today about a vehicle getting trapped in flood water. The flood water was under the bridge near the Saints stadium - it frequently floods there and there are barriers. The barriers are 2 in total and one closes across each lane ie on each side of the carriageway but they are staggered. There are flashing lights and warnings that the road is closed when this happens. If you are determined and stupid enough you could lane dodge your way around the barriers by driving onto the opposite side of the road, if you understand me and one bright spark must have reckoned he would have no problems with his large vehicle (looks like a Landrover but not sure). This necessitated a visit from the police and fire brigade to where his vehicle became stuck on Peasley Cross Lane and they had to move it to shallower water. What a dope. They should send him a bill.
