I Heart Mourão!
We walked into town late this afternoon, mainly because needed a walk, but also to get some white onions and local honey from Sandra at the small grocery shop on the main square - from which I took this shot of the arches connecting the two churches on the opposite corner.
We then went for a drink at Morango Bar, and ended up talking to all sorts, so not as ready for our upcoming visitors as I'd planned, but was definitely worthwhile. Said visitors eventually informed us they'd bought bus tickets to Évora, for tomorrow morning, so we'll be going to pick them up then. I've got one meal ready, and another planned, and made a load of nut and seed mixture for breakfasts - hopefully they'll like it.
But spent most time in the garden - grateful to them for motivating me to do a load more tidying there.
Gratefuls:
- seeing Zé Maria, and meeting an English couple here on holiday, at Morango Bar, plus a retired gent, who left here at 14, but moved back now; interesting to hear about some of the changes since those days
- chats with two of my kids, and one grandkid, who is enjoying nursery more
- fitting in an enjoyable Portuguese lesson with son-i-l,
