Outing
A pretty difficult night last night... I was so tired that I just could not stay awake, and with the baby only comforted by sleeping on top of me, it would be dangerous for me to accidentally fall asleep with him. Consequently by about 6am we watched the most beautiful sunrise and then I put something on my laptop to watch to try to stay awake.
It was a busy and lively day. I managed to have my shower when sister number 2 arrived about 11am, bearing a new pram suit for him and a little outfit. She cuddled him while I got ready, and then my auntie Facetimed to see how we were getting on.
Sister number 3 arrived about 1pm, bearing a huge bakery bag of baked goods for everyone, and lots of time was spent sitting in the sunshine in the conservatory nattering.
Then Lucy came as well, and the sisters, Lucy and I (and the dog!) went for a walk around the block. It was so good to get out and feel the fresh air. It was also so much easier to walk now that my feet and legs are not swollen, and baby's head isn't pressing on my bladder, resulting in me needing the toilet every five minutes! The baby seemed to enjoy it too ;-)
After Shelle and Lucy had gone, Ro and I popped to Waitrose for some snacks, and then I went to bed for a couple of hours before the night shift starts. I woke up at 10pm all confused, but three hours of sleep definitely helped.
I've never been so tired...
