Snow starting to fall …..

….. ….. ….. on Mt Beetham, on the lower slopes of the Crown Range. I’ve just received the text saying that chains are required. So, the forecast was right. There’s more forecast for overnight too. Hope it doesn’t snow down here though!

I took my neighbour in to the airport this afternoon, to fly up to Wellington. The weather conditions were terrible, driving over the Shotover Bridge was scary with the side-on strong wind gusts. But her plane managed to fly into Queenstown, and out again - flying in/landing here is worse than taking off. Success! I think the winds died down somewhat when the snow started arriving.
