CAVES HOUSE - HISTORICAL

Caves House was built in 1903 to accommodate popularity of Ngilgi Cave (close by).
Ngilgi Cave was discovered in 1899 by Edward Dawson.

Caves House was originally all timber with a metal roof now you can see brick, timber and a tiled roof. Major rebuild (fire) and upgrades at various periods of its life.
