Silver harbour - or maybe just grey:)

Morning at Fareshare was enjoyable as usual. A bit of an emergency at the start - all the printers had gone down at our sister warehouse in south Bristol. So I was asked to print out all their van schedules, and the lists of food to be picked for the projects they deliver to. They go as far afield as south Devon. Once that was done, and I’d caught up with my regular jobs, I did some picking orders myself, as there were only two pickers in (usually 6). Being careful to avoid really heavy stuff, like 25kg bags of potatoes.
In the late afternoon I went down to the centre - in order to walk along the harbourside to the block of flats near SS Great Britain, where my friend S has just bought a flat.
In this you can see the MV Balmoral on the left - an old steamship which does trips, but is also used for events where it’s moored nowadays. And the 4 historic cranes which remind us Bristol used to be a real port. It’s a beautiful place to live - she sold the 4 bedroom Victorian family home, and no longer has to worry about roofs and damp and leaky windows. But I love my garden, and you can’t have a pet there. It’s incredibly tempting, but not for me, I think.
