From All Angles

The atrium at The Courtauld. Plan A was "just" to go into UoW to change the password on my laptop (long boring story, don't worry) and then meet my old colleagues for early dinner at Cote Marylebone. Daughter Penny asked me why I didn't take in a gallery while I was (unusually) in central London. I sort of felt it was all a bit too much. however she sternly told me "you can manage this Mum!" And of course I could. So I moved to a cunning plan and went direct to the Courtauld Gallery at Somerset House. I wanted to see the Monet exhibition but that was booked up for weeks. But the general exhibition was fine (and free with my Art Pass - a bonus). So I spent an hour or so there, then to Marylebone Road for some help from Patience in IT (thank you). Then I walked down to the florist at John Lewis on Oxford Street where I bought a lovely bunch of flowers for my friend (known her for over 30 years), Deirdre who is both retiring from UoW and moving back to Ireland. Then up to the restaurant for a lovely meal with great friends. Then I hot footed it back to Waterloo and the lovely SiL Steve picked me up from Leatherhead to take me home. A long, but good day all in all.
