Focusing On Coming Out Of Your Shell
Today we took the relatively short drive back to Lenham for a spot of lunch at The Dog & Bear Hotel. It's another village that we've grown quite enamoured of - it may be small but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in character. It has a lovely village square - with our chosen hostelry having large windows where you can happily engage in a spot of people watching as there is plenty of activity in the village - it has an ample number of shops, two pubs, a cafe, a bakers and even its own library.
After our lunch we took a amble around the village, through the churchyard and out towards the open fields that surround it. Today's shot was taken just outside the churchyard where this curious carved wood shell shaped bench (the seat is on the other side) looks out across the open fields. I noticed it had an aperture just big enough for brother to fit his head in and I liked the idea that he was focusing his camera on me as I was focusing mine on him to capture this shot!
