W-I-D-E on Wednesday: Historical/Part of Story

Dial Cottage has major historical associations, having been the home of George Stephenson for 18 years, and therefore is part of the story of the railway age. I pass it frequently on my morning walks so I took the opportunity this morning to take its photo for today's Widwed challenge hosted by Steveng.

Shame about the red van in the picture...I don't think that belonged to George Stephenson, nor do I think he had a telephone or internet connection!  ;-))
