Autumnal Tree

I picked just the right moment to emerge from the house and take a walk down to the garden centre as it turned out to be the brightest part of the day.

I had been waiting in for supermarket delivery, then bird food delivery, then cake mould delivery (it's Parkrun's 20th Birthday this week) and, in addition to needing fresh air, I had to find a couple of daft things for the Present Game for our Hobblers Weekend Away coming up in just over a week.

Whilst on the subject of Parkrun, one of the team members posted a news article on the subject this morning.  Sheffield Hallam University have published research which says Parkrun gets 45 000 off the sofa and out each week and that it gives a £700 million boost to the economy each year.  Apparently, every £1 spent returns £10 in health benefits.  Well we knew that didn't we?

I thought I would walk the circuit back from the garden centre.  The St Ives trees at this end of the estate are imperceptibly on the change, but then this one is in its full autumn splendour in contrast, and almost done.
