In the village

I had to pop out to run a couple of errands so I stopped in the village to grab you some blippage. The sharp-eyed will see that the bank on the left, Brookes Field, has been cut back to leave an island in the stream This was done by the volunteers a month or so ago, it's to offer nesting birds some protection.

Lamb casserole in the oven, now that autumn is upon us it's time to shift the diet to stews and casseroles - it'll soon be dumpling season.
