Kitchen Life

I was brought up in a kitchen: fed; watered; bathed; socialised

Comforted; chatted to; and fed; and watered: chastised when done wrong; listened to the women (from whom all wisdom derives); respected the men (when appropriate); learnt that all is not what it seems.

Today I prepared for my swim but too choppy: chat and laugh with friend followed by prom walk in my tartan peejays. I thought no one would notice but (because this is Ireland), got text from friend (who lives in Dundalk)

“I believe you had your stroll on the prom in your tartans”.
