Sitting on the dock...
...watching a barge go by.
It's been a relatively warm and thankfully dry day today, kept mild probably because of the dense cloud cover. It was noisy too in our neighbourhood as volunteers strimmed and cut back the grass and reeds along the banks of the Slipper Mill Pond. When this task is done there are sad quantities of rubbish revealed, mainly beer cans and plastic bottles. I do like the fact that we have a volunteer scheme, with people working together from time to time, to keep things clean. There's a sense of community and pride in it.
