Sulphur Tuft

It has been a day of such mixed weather - sunshine one moment and heavy rain the next. Thankfully I managed to walk Xena in a dry period and I was so excited to see so many new fungi have popped up after yesterday's rain. Sorry I am a bit obsessed with fungi at the moment, and I think this is sulphur tuft but I may be wrong. Next week when I go to Dorset I am doing a one day fungi workshop so I am very much in a fungi frame of mind at the moment. I started planning what I need to take as we have been given a long list of 'tools' to bring with us - small scissors, a little brush etc all needed to clear undergrowth away from the fungi.

I went to my weekly golf group lesson this morning. The plan was to go out on the course today but because of the rain we played a virtual course through Top Tracer from the driving range. I chose to play Pebble Beach but my ball did get lost off the cliff edge into the sea a few times :)

I am still trying to get photos together for the Surrey photographic competition. They have such strict rules about nature images that I am waiting to get clarity on whether an image is a nature image or not before I upload my entries.

I have a slight cold at the moment which is a bit annoying. I was hoping it was Covid so that I could get a dose of natural immunity for the winter but no, I have tested and it is just a cold!
