Pastimes
Penultimate shift of the season at YorkGate this afternoon. Sun eventually came out and it didn’t feel as cold as yesterday.
Lots of the artefacts in my blip belonged to Sybil Spencer the original owner of YorkGate who created the garden here. She lived until her 90s unlike her husband and son who both died young from a genetic heart condition. She carried on designing the garden after she had lost them and bequeathed YorkGate to Perennial, a charity that looks after people in horticulture who are experiencing illness or difficulties.
