I had to call out the SSPCA today as one of the cygnets on my patch had become entangled in some fishing line which it had swallowed.
The service from the SSPCA was superb - the cygnet was quickly whisked away to a specialist vet, who was able to remove the fishing line, then returned to its family later the same day.
