HOT

HOT was the first word my son learned to write, except he wrote it backwards, so TOH was everywhere for awhile, in dancing capital letters. And it was very toh today. I dont have any idea why those rain cloud icons are on the display—there is certainly no rain predicted—but it’s a cute little graphic, maybe put there to make us feel better. Note that at the time I took this photo the inside and outside temperatures were the same. At least you could open the door and not feel you were going into a walk-in pizza oven. This heat wave is supposed to last at least through the weekend.

The little figure in the still life is from a vendor at Four Corners, the place where people go to stand in funny elongated positions and say they are in four states at once.
