Biking and Cactus

J learned an important lesson on this ride - when you are falling over, don't stick your hand in a cactus plant - twice - to stop the fall.

We pulled over to the side to let other riders past. J was a little off balance and stuck his hand down...into a cactus. Reflexes pulled his hand out of the cactus. But he was still falling over, so reflexes put his hand back down...into the cactus. Then his brain caught up, got him balances, and then pulled his hand out of the cactus.
