People of the smoke

To Aylesbury to see Steve Hackett. Over the last few years he has assembled a fine band and has been playing a mix of solo stuff and Genesis material. I hadn’t seen him since a gig in Bristol while I was at University!

I followed the zombie-like stream of middle-aged men shambling into the Waterside theatre.

A strong first set of solo material then the Lamb highlights - probably the weakest part of the evening but still OK. Then a strong finish with stuff from Selling England and Los Endos.

Very talented musos. We could probably have dispensed with the bass and drum solos, though…
