Pruning Impunity
Here are some nice, shiny tomatoes, but the day was really about pruning two apple trees. We have two pretty puny apple trees, that shade our long tarp-roofed carport, but that have never been properly groomed. Since the new tarps are still in their packages, this was our only chance to do right by the trees, so we put a secure platform on top of our pickup camper (that was filled with firewood) where I stood with pruning shears and boxes for the apples. I snipped and cut and picked to my heart’s content and had a grand old time while Eric emptied the firewood out of the truck. Very satisfying.
