Bassenthwaite
Last day of our mini break and I have to be in Keswick mid afternoon to pick up my car. Yes more work; the suspension arms needed replacing.
Anyway plenty of time to walk up Sale Fell so that I could tick off a Wainwright- it is a very easy low one . I've now ticked off the rather pathetic number of 14 out of the 214 Wainwrights in the Lake District. I doubt I'll ever do them all. Then a welcome swim in Bassenthwaite as it was hot and sunny. Blip is the swim entry point looking across the lake at Skiddaw. A very good soup and hot sausage roll in Jaspers at Braithwaite thawed me out and brought blood back to my fingers
