I'm Sexy and I know It

It was all action with the mandarin ducks down in the Forest of Dean this afternoon. They were getting it together or very hopefully trying to in some cases, with the female call monotonously something between a squeak and a squawk. I wondered what on earth it was for a while as the sound echoed round the lake bouncing off the pine trees. 

There was a little grebe family. Two newborns on the water but so very far from my lens. See tiny tot in Extra
