'Tis the season for the sweet chestnuts to drop, which the squirrels then empty.
Today didn't start well. The cleaners reported that one shower sliding door was detached. Indeed it was and not happy about being returned to it's home. Cue complete removal of the door, requiring considerable guesswork as to how that was supposed to happen. We have five box files of installation sheets for the house fittings - but not that one.
After a bit of tentative levering the covers over the mechanisms came away. Typically, the top set had a hinged cover, and the visually identical bottom set a sliding cover. One day they'll make designers maintain their own products.
Still dismantled everything and my trusty tin of grease from circa 1983 provided lubricant enough to get the springs working again, and the door duly sprung back into place.
Then we got into the garden...
