Reach for the Sky

Seemed like nice weather for spending a few hours in the allotment and so it proved. There are plenty of jobs needing done but I started by attacking the berry jungle, pruning out last year’s growth and trying to untangle and train the new growth. Easier said than done but I managed it after a manner and happily the rasps and currants were easy peasy by comparison. Started the digging too; not for long as the soil is still pretty heavy but it’s a start. Not much to harvest though - a few rasps and a couple of cucumbers won’t make much of a feast.
Another tenpin match this evening and for a change I played quite well, the whole team were pretty good and we won a couple of unexpected points. We were chuffed!
Almost forgot - the Jambos won! Even more chuffed.
