I lost a day, but this was taken before my devices updated themselves, so I’m claiming it was taken on the third. I am, to quote a George-ism, absolutely ker-nack-er-ed. and am struggling to keep my eyes open.

The flight was good though, full, but quite comfortable and I had the company of two young people who were delightful.

The lad was German, only 20 years old, and coming to Australia on a work visa to drive heavy machinery on acreage near Dubbo. He’s here to help with the harvest apparently. Such a nice boy. The girl was a similar age, with the broadest Yorkshire accent. She came to join her boyfriend who has been here since April.

They were full of questions and it was a pleasure to chat to them - especially the boy. The lass was full of confidence - I suppose because her boyfriend was meeting her.
