Frenetic
I just couldn't relax today, seemed to spend most of it trying to cram more things into less time. Don't know if it was the lingering effect of the sun 1 minute lengths or the anxiety about the weekend but I just felt like I was running to catch up most of the day.
It meant I got quite a lot done. After a bit of toing and froing with L rejigged David Bann, arranged the refund of the rescheduled James Naughtie (Nov to Feb), wrote a shopping list (!), prepped lemons, cleaned around the cookery books (I'd had to retrieve Delia for Christmas), hung out washing, though the promised sun did not arrive till week into the afternoon, vacuumed and replaced the TRV in the front bedroom. That was more successful than I'd feared. The Hive one appears to be working.
Then to Aldi and Sainsbury's for food. Noticed petrol was down to 1.29. That probably won't last. Home I had a late 'lunch' and made cauliflower and chickpea stew for tomorrow. It seems a lot. Decided most of my spices need to be replaced. I do so little cooking now. There wasn't time to make the lemon polenta cake though. That will have to wait till tomorrow. Spoke to Bluebird about Mum and did a Doodle poll for work. I thought about washing the kitchen floor but that that took will have to wait till tomorrow. And I took the new lamp out of the outer box. Again tomorrow, or later.
Got changed and ended up running for the 47B which got me to the Traverse early but that meant I could sit down and relax and watch the end of the News of the v giant screen.
I was early for the pre show talk which was about the Traverse and access to theatre and demographics and finance. Chatted to a young actor/writer and bought her a drink. I also had dinner, sweet chilli crisps and red wine.
The play 'Ruckus' a one handed about coercive control was very powerful and not spoiled by the IT glitch in the middle. I was in the front row of Trav 2 so almost in the action.
Then a brisk walk down to get a #31 which did not divert, a sweet treat from Margiotta and then home to bed. Could barely keep my eyes open.
