South Coogee Wetlands

We caught the bus over to Coogee for lunch and the coastal walk south to Maroubra, only 4-5 km but a mix of reserves, wetlands, rocky bays, suburban streets, headlands, old ocean pools and Mahon Pool (extra).

At Lurline Bay a whale heading south breached every couple of minutes. We just missed a pod of dolphins.

I should’ve paid closer attention to the info panel in the wetlands, but there were reeds, morning glory, small white flowers on low scrubby plants (that’s them, lower right), pigface aka ice plant and native daisies.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks for hosting BikerBear.
