Plough Shares

The farmers were out today ploughing, making the most of the glorious dry sunny day. Seagulls loved it, swooping down in large numbers as the turned earth revealed its delicacies. All is shared!

In extra, the young farmer was doing such a fine job creating perfect parallel lines, probably practising for the British National Ploughing Championships to be held next weekend, 12 and 13th October, in Newark, Nottinghamshire.  Around 250 top ploughmen and women from all over the UK will compete. The highpoint will be when the champions and top competitors are selected to represent Britain in the 2025 World and European Ploughing Championships. Isn't it a crazy, but wonderful world!
