Nicky and her Nikon

Today has been a glorious day, sunny all day with bright blue skies and very mild. I had planned to play golf today but I am still feeling like crap so I did not play. I slept a bit better but had a very broken night's sleep and all morning I have been struggling to do all the things I had to do - walk Xena, change bedding and do laundry etc. I found I could not finish my breakfast as I was feeling sick - this cold has been a bad one! Tommy, who has just had Covid for the gazillionth time, feels better than me and bounced back after two days (and I keep testing and I don't have Covid as the tests are negative).

By lunch time I felt slightly better, and I am so hoping that by tomorrow I will start to feel better instead of worse as I have every day this week.

I had to go fetch the car from the garage after it's service and MOT. The service from Mercedes has been terrible. I quite clearly told them I was the point of contact regarding the car, and I crossed out Gavin's number on the paperwork and wrote my own number down. So of course the idiots have been trying to phone and message him about the car when he is in Sydney trying to get some sleep but keeps getting disturbed with messages about the car. When I went to pick up the car today, they told me my invoice was not ready, despite them knowing I was on my way, and I must pay and they will email the invoice to me. I said I cannot pay so much money when I cannot see what I am paying for. The quote they gave me for the new tyres turned out to be for only one tyre which was extortionate to say the least. Anyway I had a bit of a meltdown and asked to see the branch manager and then told him just how useless the service had been, and how they misled us over the cost of the tyres when it was only for one tyre - we have been loyal customers for over two decades at this particular dealership. He apologised and then ended up giving me the tyre at cost and discounting the service and MOT as he said he did not want to lose us as customers! Rant over. but it has been appalling, disorganised and bumbling service from them.

It will be a quiet weekend as Gavin is still in Sydney - about to move on to Melbourne - and Tommy is still in Cambridge. I can do with quiet so I can try to rest and get better.

I thought I would give the fungi a break today, this flower is from a bunch I have in a vase.
