RAF Airbus A400 flying very low over Minch Common
I was in a room at the front of the house when I heard the tell tale noise of a large plane, very close by. I sensed it might be an RAF Airbus A400 that seems to regularly pass over us at a few hundred feet, and I was right.
By the time I'd picked up my camera the plane, which had just passed right over the valley behind our house at a height of a few hundred feet, was flying over the far side of the main Golden Valley and banking to the east. It appears in my picture to be descending possibly to land, but its fact it retained the same height throughout this flight over us.
As I don't have another picture today this will have to do as an emergency blip, but it is still quite unusual. If you compare my Blip from two days ago, of the wide view of the Golden Valley, the scene today shows the far distant left hand portion of that frame.
