Another October Surprise
A narrow banded pond fly visited our lone cosmos flower this afternoon. A first for me. The swallowtail cat is happily munching on a fennel flower but the monarch cat has been incognito for days. I’m hopeful there’s a chrysalis somewhere safe • We harvested the remaining tomatoes and gourds, cleared out the plant debris and packed away their cages and stakes • We’ve been fortunate most days this week to witness at least one skein of Canada geese flying in a v overhead. Once we hear the distant honking we stop what we’re doing, look up and wait. What a treat to see them migrate :)) • Hope you’ve enjoyed your best day!
