Derwentwater

We planned an early morning trip down to Borrowdale for a hike up onto Walla Crag. I was hoping to capture a shot looking across the lake at the Catbells range with low sun and some early mist and autumn colour.
In the event I struggled to get a composition from the summit of Walla Crag, it was hard to get a foreground or depth in the shot. However on the way down to Great Wood I found this with the light on the Silver Birches and a window through to the ridge with Causey Pike,  Rowling End & Ard Crags in the background.
I also noted 2 grey squirrels in the wood, the first I have seen in the lakes. I reported them to the Squirrel Police.
