The Boot(s)
I needed to get into the office this morning as there were a couple of fires to put out.
Fortunately, someone had purposefully flooded the men’s toilets in the building, which helped to quell the flames a little.
The conspiracy theorists rallied quickly and laid the blame at the feet of a lady who had recently tendered a principled resignation and left shortly thereafter. I can’t say that is something that I could see that particular person doing.
A scathing email was sent by the site manager threatening the checking of CCTV and entry-pass logs to find the culprit. I was concerned at the thought of CCTV coverage of the toilets, surely this raises far more pressing issues?!
Returning home for lunch, the weather was gorgeous and I needed a stroll, so I headed out for a little while and soon received an SOS call from a neighbour whose son had left his rugby boots at home - any chance I could run the boots to the school around the corner?! I only tell you this story gentle reader as a photo taken and sent for the express purpose of checking that I had the right boots, turned out to be the only photo I would take all day!
We caught up with my parents for a little while this evening too - they had just returned from a week away in Paphos and seemed very chilled and relaxed. Lucky people.
It was nice to see the wee ones playing out for a bit this evening, before I called them back in for a curry tea.
