Torbay Express

We're very lucky to be able to hear the whistle announcing the steam train and if we're quick we get to see it coming past (and returning later) as the Torbay Express runs down the main line from Bristol to Kingswear. This weekend it's being pulled by 5029 Nunney Castle. I don't know much about steam trains but always like to see them.

Here it is taken from the footbridge as it returns to Bristol. There is an angle I like better to take this photo from but the tide's high today so I couldn't get down on the foreshore and and onto the embankment. Maybe I'll try and get that shot later in the season.

We had a cooler start to the day today but it warmed up as the morning progressed.
