Still Clean...
...or is it?
Well yes but only because he had another shower this morning - due to swimming in the canal.
I did more jogging today, it's really not as impressive as it sounds I only manage about 10 minutes, this is partly because I don't like huffing and puffing if I see someone, partly due to starting out I mean this time last year I was still pretty much struggling to walk and also because I am wearing plimsoles.
I read up if they were suitable before proceeding and seems many people are going back to the humble plimsole - barefoot running and aiding correct running/jogging as in striking on your fore foot and not the heel which is what can happen with running shoes. Stuff I read suggested this could be better for reducing injury and as I have joint issues I obviously want to keep the impact as low as possible. But some stuff I read said about working what your natural running gait is, so I have been paying attention and mostly I do seem to strike on my forefoot, but every so often my heels do drop and I am wondering if this could have anything to do with having high arches that are dropping. Any way I am coming to the conclusion that I really do need something more supportive, but I don't really know what. there are shops where they will analysis your gait but I don't know if I can go into a sports shop and huff and puff on a running machine to be told what shoes to buy its all well a little bit intimidating. And added to that I don't really want to splash out on something if I end up not keeping it up *sigh* I am wondering if something cheap and cheerful would be ok. Maybe a trip to decathlon is in order!
Does anyone have any advice!?
