An Interesting Start

Well, it was an interesting sky anyway.
it only lasted a few minutes - but it was nice.
It was followed by a flock of sparrows arriving for a bath. There are only a couple go in at once and the others hang around keeping watch. There were a couple of Black (or Coal) Tits arrived and were tolerated for a short while but when they weren't waiting to take their turn they were chased off.

SWMBO had a go at cancelling the car hire this morning. It went as well for her as it did for me.

We went and picked up Bags mid afternoon to take her through to Glasgow - she is going the 'The Bakers Ball' tonight ... a posh doo for members of the industry.
There were breakdowns and closed roads (a taxi ran into a crowd of people apparently) buts Bags had a local app that was able to get us to her hotel without problems.
After we dropped her off it took no time at all for out sat-nav to take up the wrong way thanks to a late change if its mind at a motorway junction. However..... I followed my nose and we actually got home quicker as we avoided having to try and retrace our steps (which would never have worked with the diversions).

Shortly after we got home SWMBO get an e-mail from the car hire company saying that the hire was cancelled and our money had been returned to the bank.
I think that somebody had actually used their common sense instead of following the rulebook to the letter. Good for them!

So to sum it all up .... today has probably been the best and most successful day since SWMBO's stroke.
