Facing the sun

It was a wonderful autumn day. Blue sky,, mild, light wind and with the leaves just staring to turn everything had a golden glow about it. So it was a day for gardening and having the washing on the line.
Our youngest son came over to help in the garden and in turn joined us for dinner.
There was also the possibility of having to drive to Edinburgh airport to collect our eldest son and friends. They are having a nightmare of a return journey from Tiarana, Albania, thanks to a certain Irish airline. So far they have been delayed by 36 hours! Since there is still no clarity when they will be back in Scotland, we have been told to stay home for the time being. I feel so sorry for them. They had such a lovely time until yesterday morning.
