Capheaton
This hamlet is in Northumberland and has a simple village hall which is a café on Saturdays and Sundays and is popular with cyclists and us. The café is faithfully run by two young mums (one with two children under five) and other ladies who bake for them. They do it to keep the hall running.
Opposite is the entrance to Capheaton Hall and I think the old post office at this end of the building. There is also an old school here. Now children have to travel to other villages.
