Crane

I was unaware, before I went into Bristol today, that it was a "Docks Heritage Weekend" - "a celebration of Bristol’s rich maritime past".  There were events and activities at M Shed, Underfall Yard, the SS Great Britain, and Brunel’s Other Bridge (Brunel’s swing bridge). Lots of entertaining activities, including a demonstration of cargo handling on a 1950s working dockside using one of the iconic electric cranes on the harbourside.  Here the crane is being used to lift a pallet of barrels of "oil" which were then loaded on to a 1950s lorry.
