Nice men do win

It's all over and the best man won. The best round of the 4 days at the right time and Phil Mickelson wins the Open Golf at last. For many years I have lost my money on him to win the championship but no bets at all this year on the golf and he wins. Lesson learned.

As it turned out the golf was far more interesting than the one sided cricket match going on elsewhere. I hardly watched any of that but there is more of that to come.

This is a snapshot of part of the Official Open Golf app. It has been fantastic to use with all the information in one place - Leaderboard including all individual scores , live TV, live radio and all the highlights and text updates.

It's a long way from the way I used to try to keep the scores of the leading players on a grid with a live graph of the ups and downs using coloured pencils but looking back that was a lot of fun.
