Rose and Helen

I have come back home to see these two remarkable, magnificent women. Rose on the left has just turned 93 and Helen on the right will be 103 late next month. They were my mum’s best friends and have been like family to me; my elders. 

I heard from Helen’s son earlier this year that she had moved into a care facility and was starting with memory loss. That said, I thought she was in great form today. We had a lovely visit for a few hours and a lot of laughs. It was great for us all to catch up with each other. 

Thanksgiving is coming up soon in Canada, and I am certainly thankful for these two diamonds.
