Friday: Lightning

It was a fairly busy day, culminating in a lunch for 5 Belizean scholars who returned from the UK after doing their Masters funded by the UK government.  It’s always such a treat to hear what they thought of their year.

As soon as they left, K and I headed down to Placencia for the weekend.  We met up with our new-ish friends Spud and C.  C is a colleague whose husband, Spud, has been posted here with the army.  

We had a great first night and a lovely meal at the hotel restaurant. This shot was taken just before midnight.  We had the most incredible storm and the sky was lit up with sheet lightning.
