We're On Our Way...

To Old Trafford! (Backblip)

We went to Wigan yesterday, only the second home game for us this season. This was the semi final for getting into the Grand Final, and we were playing Leigh Leopards. They were the form team, having made the playoffs by coming good at the end of the season.

They were not very good yesterday though, and it was a surprisingly easy 38-0 victory for the Warriors and a lot of fun for the fans. I was impressed that Wigan did not treat it as the easy game, and battled right to the end like the scores were level. It doesn't pay off to coast into a Grand Final. Our opposition will be Hull KR who have thrashed us once already this season and Wigan will not be taking them lightly. We are hoping to get tickets.

After the match there was the usual party on the concourse, led by drummer Callum who does not seem to get to every game these days - work commitments, I believe. He makes a massive difference to the atmosphere and crowd involvement at games. I took this as he led us out of the stadium.

Once home we watched the game back on TV just to see why a couple of ref decisions went the way they did, and how Bevan French scored his magical try! 

It was quite late when we went to bed, and I took painkillers for neck/shoulder pain just before, then immediately started seeing migraine lights. I daren't take migraine tablets too..

 I felt hungover this morning despite not having touched a drop yesterday...

Going to chill out now, and catch up on comments. Later we will go to Jeri's. Zeph and Grace will be there too.
